The band originally formed in 1984 following the all-star 1983 ARMS (Action for Research into Multiple Sclerosis) charity concerts. These shows, organized to support bassist Ronnie Lane after his MS diagnosis, were so enjoyable for the participants that Wyman decided to keep the momentum going with a studio project.
