The Son Of Sobek Now

This 53-page short story is the first in the Demigods and Magicians trilogy.

It sets the stage for the later crossovers, The Staff of Serapis and The Crown of Ptolemy . A perfect "snack" for any Riordan fan!

The story follows Carter Kane as he tracks a "Petsuchos" (a son of Sobek) to a marsh in Montauk, only to get literally swallowed by the monster—and then saved by a "Camper Boy" in an orange T-shirt. The banter between Carter and Percy is fantastic; they spend half the time being suspicious of each other’s "weird" magic and the other half realizing they’re on the same side. The Son of Sobek

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐If you’ve finished The Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson , this short story is an absolute must-read. It’s only about 50 pages long, but Riordan packs in everything we love about his universe.
