Two years after disappearing, Jason Bourne and his girlfriend Marie are living in hiding in Goa, India. Their peace is shattered when a Russian assassin named Kirill frames Bourne for the murder of a CIA agent and a Russian source in Berlin by planting his fingerprint at the scene. The film concludes with Bourne seeking moral closure. He visits the daughter of the Neskis to personally apologize and tell her the truth about her parents' deaths—correcting the false report that it was a murder-suicide.
