The film follows Diana, princess of the Amazons, who grows up on the hidden island of Themyscira. Her life changes when American pilot Steve Trevor crashes off the island's coast and tells her about the massive conflict raging in the outside world (World War I). Convinced she can stop the threat, Diana leaves her home to fight alongside men in a "war to end all wars," eventually discovering her full powers and true destiny.
