This is the most competitive mode, featuring 4v4 gameplay where teams swap roles between Survivors and Special Infected. Survivors try to reach the safe room, while Infected players use unique abilities to ambush and kill them.

Up to four human players work together to survive five expansive story arcs. Players must navigate through levels, reaching safe houses that act as checkpoints until they reach a final rescue vehicle.

This engine procedurally adjusts the game in real-time based on player performance. It can change enemy population, item placement, and even alter weather and pathway layouts to keep matches unpredictable.
