The lyrics open with the onset of evening and a sudden feeling of "efkar" (melancholy/sorrow), accompanied by dry leaves and empty streets.

The chorus expresses a level of devotion so deep that even if the entire city were to burn to the ground, the narrator would remain, unable to "pass" or leave their beloved ("Kül olurum geçemem senden").
