Isak Bekboevich Bekboev was more than just a mathematician; he was a visionary who shaped how generations of students in Kyrgyzstan learn. Born in 1930 in the Naryn region, he dedicated over 60 years to improving the school system, eventually earning the title of "People's Teacher of the Kyrgyz Republic".

Bekboev’s journey began in the village of Kara-Suu. Despite the challenges of his time, he excelled in his studies, graduating with a silver medal and later finishing his university degree with a Stalinist scholarship. He started his career as a simple math teacher, but his passion for helping students led him to research. He eventually wrote over 200 scientific works and 44 textbooks.

One of his greatest achievements was creating the first set of mathematics and geometry textbooks specifically designed for Kyrgyz schools. Before his work, many materials were simply translated, but Bekboev ensured that the content was relevant to the life and needs of Kyrgyz students. For 9th graders today, his 9th-grade Geometry textbook (co-authored with A. Borubaev and A. Ayylchiev) remains a fundamental resource for learning concepts like the sine and cosine theorems.
