Home Hemodialysis (Home HD) is a treatment for kidney failure that you perform in your own home instead of a medical center. It uses a compact machine to filter waste and excess fluid from your blood, offering greater flexibility and shorter recovery times compared to in-center treatments.

Before starting at home, you and a care partner (if required) must complete a training program, which typically takes . You will learn how to: Set up and operate the dialysis machine. Perform vascular access (connecting needles). Monitor treatment and respond to machine alarms. Troubleshoot problems and stay safe at home. Preparation and Setup
