"You're waiting for 'inspiration'?" the voice continued. "Inspiration is for amateurs. You’re waiting to 'feel like it'? You won't feel like it until you're halfway through the day. Right now, you’re just a brain attached to a pile of excuses. Move a finger. Just one." Arthur twitched his index finger.
"Great. Now the hand. Swing the legs. Don't think about the emails, or the gym, or the broken sink. Just think about the floor. The floor is the only thing that exists."
Motivation is a fair-weather friend. Sometimes, you don't need a gentle affirmation or a "manifestation." Sometimes, you need a blunt, aggressive wake-up call to remind you that your feelings are often just liars trying to keep you comfortable and stagnant.
