The story follows (Agent 86), a bumbling but earnest spy played by Don Adams . Despite his frequent mishaps and overconfidence, Max usually manages to complete his missions through sheer luck or the expert help of his partner, Agent 99 (Barbara Feldon).

Get Smart is a celebrated American comedy franchise that famously parodies the secret agent genre, spoofing the "cool" spy craze of the 1960s sparked by James Bond. Created by comedic legends and Buck Henry , the series premiered in 1965 and became a cultural phenomenon known for its absurd gadgets and legendary catchphrases. The Core Premise

: A transparent plastic dome meant for top-secret conversations that almost always malfunctioned, forcing characters to shout to be heard.

: A literal-minded humanoid robot who often took Max's instructions too seriously. Lasting Cultural Impact

: CONTROL's nemesis, an international organization "dedicated to evil". Iconic Elements & Gadgets

: An inept U.S. government spy agency based in Washington, D.C., led by "The Chief" (Edward Platt).

: One of the most famous TV props, allowing Max to make calls from his footwear.
