The project was born in 2012, founded by (lead vocals and guitar) and Andrés Toro (percussion). Coming from Cartagena, a city deeply rooted in Afro-descendant history and the Champeta culture, the duo sought to strip back the heavy production of modern tropical music. They started as a minimalist outfit—often just a guitar and a drum kit—relying on infectious grooves and vocal harmonies to captivate audiences.
