After resolving their differences in the first film, Brad and Dusty have become "co-dads" and decide to host a single joint Christmas for their blended family. Their plans for a perfect holiday are thrown into chaos when their respective fathers, the hyper-masculine Kurt and the overly sensitive Don, arrive for a visit. Kurt, seeking to drive a wedge between the co-dads, convinces the family to rent a luxury cabin for the week, leading to a series of comedic disasters, competitive parenting, and eventually, a snow-bound reconciliation in a movie theater.
