Chicken Invaders 2: The Next Wave follows a lone pilot’s desperate struggle to save the solar system from a technologically advanced race of space-faring chickens seeking revenge for Earth's consumption of their kind. After the defeat of the first invasion, the chickens have returned with a more organized plan to subjugate every planet in the system, moving beyond just Earth.

The story progresses as you pilot your spacecraft from the edge of the solar system toward the Sun, clearing waves of poultry across various planets. Each chapter consists of 10 waves, usually culminating in a boss fight against massive avian contraptions or giant chickens. Upon clearing a sector, your ship warps to the next planet, eventually leading to a final confrontation to secure the galaxy's safety.
