Archive Email Outlook Apr 2026

Archiving in Outlook helps declutter your inbox by moving older messages to a dedicated storage area without deleting them. Depending on your version and needs, you can archive messages manually, set them to move automatically, or use a cloud-based "Online Archive".

If your inbox fills up quickly, you can set Outlook to archive items automatically based on their age. Go to > Options > Advanced . Select AutoArchive Settings . archive email outlook

: This feature is not available in the "New Outlook" for Windows. 3. Archiving to a Local File (.pst) Archiving in Outlook helps declutter your inbox by

: Select an email and click Archive in the top toolbar. Go to > Options > Advanced

: Archived emails are moved to the default Archive folder within your current mailbox. 2. AutoArchive (Classic Outlook Only)

: In classic Outlook, you can simply press the Backspace key to archive a selected message immediately.
