Daniel awakened to an eerie silence. His eyes fluttered open, and he found himself in a dimly lit, damp chamber. The cold stone walls seemed to close in on him, making his chest feel tight. Laurent sighed, collecting his thoughts before continuing. "We were investigators, Daniel. We explored the darker corners of the world, uncovering secrets and facing unimaginable horrors. But something went terribly wrong. We were investigating an ancient, long-abandoned castle, and...and something happened. I think we uncovered a dark presence, something that doesn't want us to remember."

Laurent nodded in agreement. "But we must be careful. The creature is always watching, waiting for its chance to strike. We'll need to rely on each other, and trust no one else."
