Use a thicker pen tip (like a 1.0 or 2.0) to fill in the space faster.

With the text selected, change the 'Style' dropdown from 'Regular' to 'Writing' . This tells the machine to use a single-line font. Set Operation: Change the Operation type to 'Pen' .

In the font dropdown menu, select "Filters" and check "Writing" .
